MD Marine / Dock Links Present: 2026 Lake Simcoe Rescue Run
In support of: Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command Poppy Trust Fund
“Helping fund national Veteran programs and supporting Veterans and their families in need.”
Performance Boat Club Events Inc. is heading back to the Port of Orillia for the 2026 Lake Simcoe Rescue Run — the second stop of our five-event season, presented by our title sponsors MD Marine Insurance and Dock Links. This year, every dollar we raise supports the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command Poppy Trust Fund, helping Canada’s Veterans and their families in need.
For more than twenty years, the Lake Simcoe run has been one of the highlights of our season: beautiful boats, great people, and a whole lot of good done along the way. The weekend kicks off Friday, July 10 — boats arrive at the Port of Orillia from 2:00 pm, with check-in at 5:00 pm and a Captains & Crew reception at 7:00 pm at The Social Bar and Lounge. On Saturday, July 11 the fleet departs the Port of Orillia at 10:30 am for a roughly 100-mile run across Lake Simcoe, wrapping up with the Auction & Awards Dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion in Orillia at 7:00 pm.
Coming out to watch? Spectators are welcome. The best public vantage points are the Port of Orillia (Friday-evening arrivals, the Saturday 10:30 am send-off, and the ~5:00 pm return), the Atherley Narrows around 11:00 am as the fleet slows through the channel, the Lefroy Harbour House Grill over the lunch period (~11:45 am–1:30 pm), and Barrie’s Centennial Beach around 1:45 pm. All times are approximate.
Extra dinner tickets are $50 (plus tax and gratuity), and donations-in-kind valued over $200 qualify for a tax receipt from Performance Boat Club Charities. Accommodations are available at the Champlain Waterfront Hotel in Orillia.
