Two ways to give

Every gift — a cash donation, or an item for our charity auctions — goes toward the same promise: supporting local charities in the communities where we run. Here's how you can help, and how tax receipting works.

1. Cash donations

Give any amount right here on this page, or by cheque payable to Performance Boat Club Charities. You choose which event or fundraiser your gift supports, or send it where it's needed most.

A charitable tax receipt is issued for cash gifts of $200 or more — just add your name and mailing address so we can send it.

2. Donations in kind — merchandise, experiences & products

Businesses and supporters can donate merchandise, experiences, gift cards, and products for our silent and live charity auctions. These items are the engine of our fundraising nights — and they put your generosity, and your brand, in front of the performance-boating community.

In-kind gifts are valued at their fair market value, and a charitable tax receipt is issued for qualifying gifts of $200 or more.

Winning an auction item? The amount you pay above an item's fair market value may itself qualify as a donation. For example, an item with a fair market value of $100 that you win for $500 — the $400 above fair market value may be receptible.

Tax receipts — the essentials

• Receipts are issued for gifts of $200 or more, whether cash or the fair market value of an in-kind gift.
• We'll need your name and mailing address to issue one.
• Gifts under $200 are gratefully received, but are not receipted and are not combined to reach the threshold.
• Receipts are issued following our fiscal year-end (October 31).

Where your donation goes

Performance Boat Club has been giving back since 2005. Through Performance Boat Club Charities — a registered charity since 2009 — we've raised more than $1,000,000 for over twenty-one local organizations: hospitals, hospices, children's charities, scholarships, fire and rescue services, veterans, and families in need. The money raised at each event stays in the community that hosted it. Your donation goes directly toward that work.
