THE SARNIA SHAKEDOWN! 

Benefiting St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia and
Fore the Cure, a breast cancer fundraiser


Dust the cobwebs off your motors and join us for a shakedown run on the St. Clair River & Lake St. Clair, stopping for lunch at club favourite, the Windsor Yacht Club.

We’ll kick off festivities Friday night with a BBQ in the pavilion at Sarnia Bay marina.   Once again, the marina will be home base for us.

AGENDA 
Friday, May 31

  • Boats arrive and launch at ramps by the marina or arrive by water
  • Afternoon — meet-up on the docks
  • 7pm — BBQ in the pavilion at Sarnia Bay Marina

Saturday, June 1

9:00 am – Registration and check in under the Pavilion at Sarnia Bay Marina.

10:00 am – Driver’s meeting and safety brief.

10:30 am – Start your engines, mill out to and stage just north of the Blue Water bridge where we will turn and burn.

11:30 am – Check point #1 St. Clair flats – regroup, stage then proceed to check point #2 Windsor Yacht Club for lunch.

12:00 pm – Arrive at Windsor Yacht Club for lunch. 87 non-ethanol fuel available Riverside Marina

The harbor master and crew will be on the docks and will direct you where to tie up

1:30 pm – Depart Windsor Yacht Club for checkpoint #3 Ambassador Bridge.

2:00 pm – Depart Ambassador Bridge to checkpoint #4 Jefferson Beach marina.

2:30 pm – Depart Jefferson Beach head northbound back up the St Clair river to Sarnia.

4:30 pm – Arrive at Sarnia Bay Marina.

7:00 pm – Auction and awards dinner at Sarnia Bay Marina pavilion.

 

ABOUT THE CHARITIES:

St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia is a ten suite home-like residence that provides, free of charge, 24-hour specialized palliative care to people living with a terminal illness, as well as those in their life circle.

Fore the Cure is an annual golf tournament that raises money for the Mammography Unit at Bluewater Health in Sarnia and the Pamela Greenaway-Kolmeier Transitional Breast Cancer Unit at LHSC in London.
